Hej John Sahl.

Tak for din mail.

Ambassaden i Rom

Dear Sir Sahl,

in order to permanently export a vehicle you need to apply for a Certificate of de-registration for permanent export (Certificato di radiazione per esportazione). Application can be made by the registered owner, his/her heir or an entitled person. In the latter case, the applicant has to provide the office with the original legal title, such as deed of sale, document of the Public Administration, minutes of the auction and acceptance of inheritance. Following the application, the PRA issues the above mentioned certificate.

Please be aware that according to recent regulations, applications can be submitted only after the vehicle has been transferred abroad and registered with new foreign plate numbers.

For information on procedures and fees, please visit our website at the following link www.aci.it/i-servizi/guide-utili/guida-p...to/esportazione.html

Tak skal du have
Imponerende svartider.

Please be aware that according to recent regulations, applications can be submitted only after the vehicle has been transferred abroad and registered with new foreign plate numbers.

Tolderne skal have fat i at bilen flyttes.

Export
In case of final overseas export of a vehicle you have to ask the Public Car Register (PRA) the "Cessation of circulation for export."

For details of the documents certifying the final export, you can see the explanatory note (PDF, 49 Kb)
If the vehicle is registered to export to the PRA a measure of administrative detention must first clear the administrative detention (after paying the amounts due to the concessionaire of taxes) and later request the "Cessation of circulation for export."
In the event that the vehicle to be exported result recorded a mortgage not yet expired, a garnishment or seizure, shall be attached a document proving the consent to the radiation from the creditor or the competent authority.
In particular, for the export of vehicles with mortgages and not yet due is necessary to attach the act of consent of the creditor made in the form of private deed notarized.
We therefore recommend that, before doing the practice, to ask for a "business profile" of the vehicle (including online), indicating the number plate, to verify that the vehicle there is a firm or another administrative burden.
