I hope it's not a problem that I am not writing in Danish. I am not a danish citizen but I do live in DK, in Horsens, to be more exact, and I do own an Alfa registered here in DK.

I bought my 145 1.6 Ts from a dealer in Silkeborg this January. It ran perfect up to one week ago, when I suddenly lost oil pressure (while I was going to work on the highway) and the engine started to make this noise, like something was shaking inside. To cut the story short, I went to a few mechanics here in Horsens and they all said the same thing: broken bearings in the motor block => buy a new engine.

I found an engine which costs 4000kr. The cheapest mechanic I could find here said 3000kr to change the engine, so I'm looking at 7000kr worth of repairs. Now.. that's a lot of money considering that I bought the car for 15.000kr.

I am so sad about it because apart from the engine, the car is in top condition. My question to you is, what can I do with it if I don't want to repair it? Is there any way I can get some money back for it? I hope not at the scrapyard, because the car is is perfect shape and it would be such a shame. I would like to get some money for it and buy something new.

I saw a 146 Qv which i really want, but I have to get rid of this one first.

Do any of you have any suggestions? Anything will help!

If you buy a used car from a dealer. you have 2 years warranty, so go back to the dealer and let him repair the car without any expences for you!

Are you sure about this? It is not mentioned anywhere in the contract.

EDIT: The contract says: "sælgeransvar: intet, privat handler ingen reklamationsret"

I guess that means no warranty, right?

Thats a nice little trick they made there, did they tell you they were just keeping the car there for someone?.
I'm not sure how the rules are, but would suspect they would have a hard time explaining why you signed a contract from them, but bought the car from a private person.
I would go to them first, tell them whats wrong, and say you want it fixed, and do tell them nicely to begin with

You have 6 months warranty in Denmark and not 2 years.

It doesn't matter, if your contract is written on the dealer paper.
He can't get out for it.

Det er lidt svært at forklare på engelsk, men købeloven siger man har 2 års reklamations ret, men det er sælgeren der har bevisbyrden de første 6 mdr. om det så også i praksis betyder man kun har 6 mdr. garanti skal jeg ikke anfægte.
